After spending 17 years working with the hybrid mix of property renovation, fine art/commercial photography and teaching, John decided the best way to get great service in the industry would have to be getting his own license. Prior to licensing, having developed a high level of expertise in home improvement, marketing, home buying and selling, and negotiating, John's skills are now best used to serve clients working with agents in our brokerage. From his adventures as a home buyer, seller, and renovator working in Washington, D.C., Asheville, NC, and Charlottesville, VA blossomed the independent brokerage Averso Group based in Louisville, Kentucky. John offers his talents to customers seeking the professional, no nonsense approach he learned along the way. Buying or selling a home is an important process he can make easier by offering you personalized, dedicated, great service. Every listing comes with professional marketing, including his top notch photographic services and copywriting skills. John founded a fine art publishing business in 1995 specializing in photographic postcards, posters, and original photographic prints of the Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill, KY, and other destinations, which landed his work in catalogs, fine galleries, and private collections around the country. Teaching filmmaking and photography found him in demand locally for many years in the arts education field, including some years at nearby Bellarmine University in Louisville’s Highlands Neighborhood. Architectural and landscape photography continue to be an interest for John as well as working on his editorial photography and writing, which has been published in several major national and international publications in America and the Middle East. If you are lucky enough to experience his wonderful pastries at perhaps an open house event for your listing, you will want to buy and sell more homes with John! Among other recipes, he makes the Best Chocolate Cake on the Continent (according to those who have had it!) John holds a B.A. Degree in Cinema and Photography from Southern Illinois University, and studied German and Art History at the University of Louisville. He also holds an international TESOL certification. The spicy list of interests for John includes home renovation, architectural design, writing, reading, languages, music, painting, antiques, travel, cooking, and the coffee cafe business.
